Process
Whryta specializes in the conservation of Modern and Contemporary Art. We to love conserve the seemingly impossible and works that are believed to be un-exhibitable. Our process involves first consulting the artist, art historians, curators, foundations, fabricators to understand the intentionality and material language of the artist and work. The next phase is research and analysis, during which time the object is examined with advanced scientific analytical tools. If known methods do not exist, we then conduct additional research to determine the best treatment protocol.
Once we have established a treatment approach and it is approved by the client, we embark on exhaustive testing to validate our procedures before treatment of the object begins following the AIC (American Institute of Art Conservation) code of ethics. The most advanced tools and technology are used to carry out procedures and every step is fully documented with photographic and written treatment reports.
